Appointment
1 Thessalonians 5:24, “Faithful is he that calleth you who also will do it.”In October, these words came to mind as years of preparation had culminated in our acceptance as missionaries with Baptist World Mission. It impacted me the most during one of the conference services as each missionary and candidate introduced themselves to the church while holding their field’s flag and wearing something representative of the national dress. We found ourselves flanked by some of God’s choice servants—some representing decades or more on the field. We felt honored to be in such company and grateful to God, who has guided our steps and continues to bless, enable and provide for us as we seek to do His will. We are grateful that God has called us to serve Him and represent you on the field of Ecuador.
Deputation
Since October, we have been working hard to fill our schedule with meetings to earn support. God has given us over 28 meetings for this coming year of 2018, and we are already scheduling dates in 2019. We have booked just over 50% of the 52 Sundays in 2018. We saw our first supporting church approve us and are excited to see the Lord’s blessing our schedule.
Baby A
We are excited to announce that we have another member joining our team! Baby A will begin making appearances at churches after July (due July 1). We’ll find out the gender in February. Ashley is doing very well.
Prayer Requests
Remaining dates in 2018 to be filled with churches that would be able to join our team of prayer and financial supporters
Ashley and Baby Ackeret would both progress well and maintain good health
Safety and nominal travel difficulties, especially in winter weather
