Thank you for praying regarding our church’s inauguration service! The Lord answered your prayers. We had 25 in attendance including 7 first-time visitors. It was especially encouraging to see each one of our regular attenders bring a family member or friend. Our average attendance continues to grow, and we have since started a Sunday school and Sunday evening service.
We had two college students visit us for two weeks, Matt Austin and his sister Elisabeth. Matt has a heart for missions in Ecuador and is completing his seminary training. We spent some additional evangelism time with them, and we are praising the Lord that Matt was able to see two souls saved. We are doing our best to follow up with these contacts.
We’ve been working for a few months with a lady named O_____. She lived next door to the church and after several invitations, started attending our Bible studies and services. After several weeks of working with her, Ashley was able to help her settle the matter of salvation and O____ expressed her desire to be baptized. We had our first baptismal service on July 31. O_____ brought many friends and relatives resulting in 30 people in attendance; our all-time high so far. Please continue to pray for O_____. Through some difficult immigration and family circumstances, she had to quickly return to her family’s home in Venezuela after emigrating to Ecuador several years ago. We are working to connect her with a good church in her area.
Please pray for the spiritual growth of a young lady named L_____. L_____ attends our Sunday morning service faithfully and indicated that she desired a relationship with the Lord during the invitation time a few weeks ago. It is an encouragement and a direct answer to our prayers to see the Lord impacting hearts through the preaching of the Gospel in our services.
