November 2021 Monthly Update

  • Thank you for praying regarding the location of our first church plant. The Lord has led our hearts to the city of Quito. We are focusing on a section called Belisario Quevedo and the neighborhood of “La Gasca.” Our plans for launching include a Christmas outreach over the next few weeks.

  • We were blessed by a short visit from our field administrator, Mike Martin. It was an encouragement to have him in our home in Manta as well as travel with him to Quito. We were able to show him the neighborhood where we plan to focus as well as other areas of the city. We talked much about strategy, and it was helpful to hear his perspective.

  • We completed language school on November 19. Thank you for contributing to our Outfit and Passage funds which fully covered the expenses of these classes. We are very pleased with our progress and have seen the benefits on a language and cultural level. We are thankful for the spiritual investment it was as well. Our Spanish teachers heard the Gospel on several occasions, attended church, and remain in contact with us.

  • We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving Day with fellow missionaries and friends in the city of Guayaquil. At this time of year, and always, we are very grateful to the Lord for the privilege to serve Him here and the faithfulness of you, His people, who make it possible.
